Derek is an attorney specializing in tax and corporate law. A proud alum of two industry-leading law firm private equity (PE) practice groups, Derek assists with firm compliance, diligence, and contract negotiations.

Derek earned his law degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law and his B.A. from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. As a law student he served on law review and worked for a large, nationally diversified energy company, a federal appeals court in Newark, NJ, and the U.S. Department of Justice. Between law school and undergrad, Derek served as an aide to Chief Justice John G. Roberts at the U.S. Supreme Court for a two-year term in Washington, DC.
